The Ghana Chamber of Mines has launched a new Member Management Portal as part of its digital transformation agenda to enhance service delivery and deepen engagement with its member companies.
The centralized digital platform, developed in partnership with Ghanaian technology firm Smart Innovations Ghana Limited (SIGL), is designed to simplify key membership processes, improve access to information and provide a more structured and secure system for managing member data, communication and services.

The initiative forms part of the Chamber’s broader strategy to leverage technology to strengthen its operations and deliver greater value to its growing membership.
Speaking at a brief signing ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, Ing. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey, said digital transformation has become critical to the Chamber’s mandate.
Digital transformation for us is not simply about replacing manual processes with technology. It is about using technology to become more responsive, efficient and valuable to our members. The Member Management Portal will give us a stronger platform for engagement, improve the way we manage and use information, and ultimately enable the Chamber to serve its members better,” Ing. Dr. Ashigbey said.
According to the Chamber, the portal will enable member companies to manage organisational information, administer authorised users, respond to Chamber requests and access services through a more streamlined digital environment.
The Chamber said by bringing these functions onto a single platform, it expects to reduce administrative bottlenecks and make interactions more convenient and efficient, while strengthening its capacity for data-driven engagement with government and regulators.
Our members operate in an increasingly dynamic environment where timely information, efficient communication and evidence-based advocacy are critical. We therefore have a responsibility to continuously improve the systems through which we engage them. This portal is another important building block towards creating a more connected Chamber and strengthening the value proposition of membership,” he added.
On his part, the Chief Executive Officer of Smart Innovations Ghana Limited, Dr. Sylvester Akpah, said the portal reflects the company’s commitment to building secure and scalable platforms for industry.

The Member Management Portal complements other digital tools being deployed by the Chamber to improve internal operations, information management and stakeholder engagement.
