…As Nominations for 2025 Elections closes
The Private Newspapers and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) has officially closed nominations for its upcoming National Executive Elections, with eleven members set to contest for five key leadership positions.
The Electoral Committee confirmed in a press release on Wednesday that the nomination window closed at 5:00pm on July 23, ahead of the elections slated for Friday, August 15, 2025. The polls will take place at the PRINPAG Secretariat from 8:00am to 3:00pm.
The list of aspirants vying for leadership positions is as follows:

As part of the election process, the Committee announced that vetting of all aspirants will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 10:00am at the PRINPAG Secretariat. Candidates are expected to report on time and submit their Curriculum Vitae and relevant documents if they have not already done so.
In line with PRINPAG’s commitment to transparency and accountability, members who have any legitimate objections to any candidate have been asked to file a formal petition with supporting evidence to the Election Committee no later than 9:00am on the day of the vetting.
The Committee will announce the results of the vetting and proceed with the official ballot draw afterward.
The Electoral Committee reaffirmed its dedication to conducting a free and fair election, adding that the process is designed to uphold the democratic values of PRINPAG and strengthen its institutional integrity.
The 2025 elections are expected to usher in a new leadership team to steer the affairs of PRINPAG at a critical time in the media industry’s development.
