Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, Her Excellency Mrs. Sabah Zita Benson, has made a strong case for increased diaspora participation in Ghana’s thriving real estate sector, urging Ghanaians abroad and international investors to take advantage of the country’s expanding property market.
Delivering the keynote address at the Ghana Property & Lifestyle Expo 2025 held at the Pestana Chelsea Bridge Hotel in London, Mrs. Benson underscored the Expo’s importance in linking the diaspora to Ghana’s economic transformation. She described property investment as a strategic pathway to building generational wealth while contributing meaningfully to national development.
“The diaspora continues to play a pivotal role in Ghana’s economic progress,” she noted, encouraging attendees to view real estate investment as an opportunity to secure their financial future and support the country’s long-term growth.
Now in its ninth edition, the Expo—organized by the enterprising Agyekum sisters, founders of Onpoint—was held under the theme “Resolving Obstacles in the Ghanaian Property Market.” The event provided a vital platform for discussing challenges within Ghana’s real estate ecosystem and exploring innovative solutions. It also showcased diverse investment opportunities to a global audience eager to engage with Ghana’s housing and lifestyle sectors.
This year’s Expo attracted a wide range of participants, including property developers, entrepreneurs, investors, and representatives from the Ghana Free Zones Authority, alongside a vibrant cross-section of the Ghanaian diaspora. Beyond business, the event celebrated Ghana’s cultural identity, offering guests a rich and immersive experience that highlighted the country’s heritage, warmth, and innovation.
The 2025 edition was supported by headline sponsors Gold Key Properties, Royal Kingdom Estates, the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), and the Ghana High Commission.
