QNET Responds to report of alleged fraud by two Ghanaian nationals

QNET wishes to respond to the report published on https://www.ghanawish.com/police-arrest-agents-of-q-net-over-fraud/ dated 9 June 2021 and on https://reportghana.com/just-in-police-arrest-agents-of-q-net-over-fraud/ dated 10 June, 2021 on the allegedly arrest of two Ghanaian nationals for defrauding a man of his GHC4,600 (Approximately $810).

Unfortunately, the story made unwarranted reference to QNET cases elsewhere without details of how well the company cooperated with relevant local authorities and government agencies to address those cases.

QNET does not condone extortion or fraud. The company has repeatedly warned the public against unsuspecting individuals who may want to take undue advantage of them. QNET condemns any unhealthy marketing practice that seeks to promise unrealistic returns. QNET does not deal in recruiting people, it only sells products and encourages those who wish to introduce the products to others, to do so and earn commission on every sale they make, not on recruiting people.

QNET is an e-commerce based direct selling company that sells a wide range of products and services to customers around the world. The company’s direct selling business model allows existing customers who have enjoyed QNET’s products to market them by registering as Independent Representatives (IRs) and promote these products and earn commissions on successful sales.

The Company has organized multiple training programmes and awareness seminars over the last few years in Ghana and across the sub-Saharan Africa region, to help various stakeholders understand the business model and to address any misconceptions.

QNET donated to the Chief Imam of Ghana’s Educational Fund for less-privileged children, donated medical supplies and equipment to the Ghana Police Hospital and the Komfo Anokye Hospital, supports the ANOPA Project for educational and sporting activities for the blind and physically-challenged in the Central and Western Regions of Ghana, among other corporate social responsibility interventions.
