Direct selling is an agelong marketing approach that has been around for over 200 years and it’s very commonly practised in the United States and other parts of the world.

Direct Selling is a method of marketing and retailing goods and services directly to the consumers in their homes or in any other location away from permanent retail premises. Such type of sales is largely driven by word-of-mouth referrals. Products sold through direct selling companies have unique features and are exclusive to the company and are not available in malls or similar locations.

Mr. Fall said the company, which started in Hong Kong in 1998, now has a global presence with distributors spanning the Middle East, South and East Asia, Africa, Central Asia and Europe.

According to him, the company’s footprint since its establishment some 23 years ago has helped to develop micro-entrepreneurs in many emerging economies.
