Napo is always interested in the affairs of TOR
Contrary to information in the public domain to the effect that the Minister for Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has washed his hands off the affairs of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), available information indicates it is not true.
Records show that Dr Opoku Prempeh had always been committed to the cause of the oil refinery and has been working with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the refinery is up to task.
Indeed, there are records of meetings that have been held with major stakeholders, staffs and management of TOR at the instance of the Minister all in the attempt to revamp the refinery.
In all his public and private pronouncements since he became the Sector Minister, Dr Opoku Prempeh has made it clear that TOR is a strategic national asset and would not be sold to any private investor for any cause
The Minister is interested in seeing the strategic state asset run as it should and it appears no amount of intimidation or sabotage from any quarters would deter him from achieving that task.
