Mobile Money Ltd celebrated excellence within the mobile money ecosystem by recognizing outstanding stakeholders for their exceptional contributions in 2025. The annual awards dinner, held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, brought together key players from the fintech, banking, remittance, and mobile money sectors.
A total of 22 awards were presented, highlighting the efforts of partners who have played pivotal roles in advancing the growth and sustainability of the mobile money industry in the country.
In his keynote address, Shaibu Haruna, CEO of Mobile Money Ltd, praised stakeholders for their dedication and impact over the years. “Together, we are transforming the lives of many Ghanaians and providing them with dignity, which is deeply cherished and appreciated,” he said.
Haruna further emphasized that Mobile Money Ltd is the country’s leading mobile money service provider, controlling over 70% of the market share. He noted the platform’s evolution beyond basic transactions, explaining that customers now use mobile money for savings, investments, payments, shopping, insurance, and loan acquisition. The company has also partnered with numerous organizations to implement key social empowerment projects throughout the decade.
Looking ahead, the CEO affirmed Mobile Money Ltd’s commitment to driving innovation and initiatives that continue to expand the mobile financial services sector.
Philip Owusu Gyamfi, CEO of Jumo Ghana, the recipient of the Fintech Partner of the Year (Lending), expressed gratitude for the award. “Jumo has been instrumental in financially empowering individuals, particularly women- and men-led businesses. We are excited to be recognized and remain committed to blazing new trails in the market. This accolade motivates us to achieve even more,” he stated.

Winners received plaques and citations, with the Overall Best MoMo Agent awarded GHC 50,000 and the Overall Best Merchant receiving GHC 30,000 as part of their prizes.
