Maison Yusif Fragrance has reached another significant international milestone by becoming the first fragrance house from Ghana to participate in Glamcation, a fragrance festival held in Torrance/Palos Verdes, Los Angeles.
The historic appearance introduced the artistry, craftsmanship and distinctive identity of Ghanaian perfumery to a diverse audience of fragrance lovers, industry professionals, entrepreneurs and luxury consumers in California.
Throughout the event, visitors had the opportunity to explore Maison Yusif’s collection, experience its signature fragrances and discover the African stories and creative vision behind the brand. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with guests visiting the Maison Yusif stand, sampling the fragrances, making purchases and expressing admiration for the quality, originality and performance of the creations.
For Maison Yusif, participating in Glamcation was more than a commercial exhibition. It represented another important step in the brand’s mission to place Ghana and Africa at the centre of the global fragrance conversation.
Founded in Ghana, Maison Yusif has consistently worked to challenge the perception that exceptional niche perfumery must come exclusively from established fragrance capitals. Through original compositions, meticulous production and fragrances rooted in African identity, the brand continues to demonstrate that world-class luxury can be imagined, developed and created in Ghana.
The Los Angeles appearance also reflects Maison Yusif’s growing international presence and commitment to introducing African olfactory artistry to new markets. By participating in platforms such as Glamcation, the fragrance house is creating opportunities for global consumers to experience a different expression of niche perfumery—one shaped by African creativity, heritage and contemporary luxury.
We are deeply grateful to Los Angeles for showing up, supporting us and shopping with Maison Yusif,” said Yusif Jnr Meizongo, founder and perfumer of Maison Yusif Fragrance. “Every person who visited our stand, experienced our fragrances or purchased a bottle contributed to this historic moment. We came to Los Angeles carrying the story and spirit of Ghana, and we were welcomed with extraordinary love.”
The achievement is not only a victory for Maison Yusif but also a proud moment for Ghana’s growing beauty and luxury industries. Becoming the first Ghanaian fragrance house to participate in Glamcation sends a powerful message about the potential of African-owned brands to enter international spaces, attract global consumers and compete through quality, authenticity and innovation.
Maison Yusif extends its sincere appreciation to the organizers of Glamcation for creating a platform that celebrates fragrance, entrepreneurship and creativity. The brand also thanks every guest, customer and supporter whose presence helped make the occasion memorable.
As Maison Yusif continues its international journey, its purpose remains unchanged: to create extraordinary fragrances, preserve the authenticity of its African identity and position Ghana as an emerging force within the global fragrance industry.
From Accra to Los Angeles, Maison Yusif Fragrance is not simply selling perfume—it is carrying Ghana’s story across the world, one unforgettable scent at a time.
