Lawyer Dame wins best deputy minister-2020

Lawyer Godfred Dame, the Deputy Attorney General in charge of Civil Cases in Ghana has been adjudged the Best Deputy Ministers for the year 2020.

FAKS Investigative Services, a research and private investigation firm named Lawyer Dame among the 10 best deputy ministers who performed exceptionally well under the first term of President Akufo Addo’s administration.

Lawyer Dame, as he’s affectionately called pulled 4,051 respondents, representing 93.63% from the total respondents of 4,327 recorded.

This performance emanates from a survey conducted by FAKS, dubbed the ‘Performance of Ministers, 2020.’ The 2020 survey was the 9th edition since FAKS started this project. The exercise involves Ministers, Deputy Ministers and the Regional Ministers.

The survey focused on opinions from the public and as well as some assessment from the ministries, agencies and as well as the regions. The public, mainly respondents, contributed largely to the outcome of the survey.

According to FAKS Investigative Services, the respondents who picked Lawyer Dame to be one of the best deputy ministers pointed out the several cases he handled recording positive results for the state.

Staff of his ministry also gave positive comments about Lawyer Dame, especially on his humility and his relationship towards them, as compared to some staff from other ministries who gave negative comments about their Ministers and Deputy Ministers,” said Fred Yaw Sarpong, CEO of FAKS Investigative

Sarpong mentioned that, it was not surprising to see Lawyer Godfred Dame and Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum emerged as Best Deputy Ministers in 2020 named by the President of the Republic to the position of Attorney General and Minister of Justice and the Education Minister respectively.

Together with my team, we are hoping that Lawyer Dame will continue his good works as he prepares to take up the ministerial position and be among the top ministers in Ghana”, Sarpong noted.

The survey took place between the months of October and December, 2020. Respondents for the survey were journalists, students, petty traders, business owners, traditional rulers, civil society organizations (CSOs), commercial drivers, traders in general, academia, and others.

About 74% of the respondents were between the ages of 18 and 55 while the remaining 26% were between the ages of 56 and 75.

Out of the 4,327 feedbacks received during the period, 2,223 of the respondents, representing 51.39% were females while the remaining 2,104 representing 48.61% were males.
