Accra came alive with Yuletide joy last night, December 13, as Joe Mettle, Kuami Eugene, and Kofi Kinata delivered electrifying performances at the 2025 MTN Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols night. Held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre, the event packed in thousands of fans who jammed to sizzling gospel, highlife, and contemporary hits under the theme “A Heart of Christmas.”
The night blended spiritual inspiration with non-stop entertainment. MTN Viva Voices kicked things off with soul-stirring local and foreign Christmas carols, getting the crowd singing along in unison.
Inspirational scripture readings came from distinguished individuals like ASP (Retired) Afia Tengey, Director of Public Engagement at Parliament House; His Royal Majesty King Prof. Odaifio Welentsi III, Paramount Chief of Nungua and President of the Greater Accra Regional House; and Sylvia Owusu-Ankomah, CEO of the Ghana Chamber of Telcos.
Dance with Purpose (DWP) crew turned up the heat with flawless choreography synced to pulsating beats, leaving patrons mesmerized. Rev. Fr. Ebenezer Foli Botchway, Priest Assisting of the Anglican Church, delivered a powerful exhortation, urging the audience to embrace unconditional love, choose joy over sorrow, and seek divine wisdom for life’s realities.
DJ Wallpaper kept the energy soaring, spinning a masterful mix of highlife classics, hip-hife bangers, hip-hop anthems, and the latest releases that had everyone grooving. Gospel powerhouse Joe Mettle and highlife sensations Kuami Eugene set the stage ablaze before Kofi Kinata sealed the show with a show-stopping set.
The award-winning artist had fans on their feet, singing along and dancing wildly into the night.
