GRA optimistic of addressing tax automation challenges by July

The Ghana Revenue Authority is optimistic most of the problems associated with the automation process of tax payment will be addressed by July this year

From May 1, 2021 we allowed customers to pay from the comfort of their homes. On June 1, 2021 we put measures in place to ensure that all checks are paid through the banks. The third step will be that from July 1, 2021, all cash will be paid through the banks. With June’s implementation, it has been going well except that every new thing comes with challenges at the initial stages”, Commissioner General, Reverend Ammishaddai Owusu-Amoah told Joy Business

Meanwhile, the GRA took part in government’s Tree Planting exercise to commemorate Green Ghana Day on Friday, 11th June, 2021.

Corporate Ghana and other state institutions embraced the exercise as some planted trees across the country.

June 11th has been marked as Green Ghana Day. This is part of the Green Ghana agenda where the nation’s target is to preserve its forest cover and the environment for generations to come.
