Ethiopian Airlines, The Taste of Afrika sign MoU

ETHIOPIAN Airlines and The Taste of Afrika have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to make the latter the official international airline carrier for the Cultural Oneness Festival slated for the north of the country in December.
The agreement comes at a time when preparations towards the celebrations of December to Remember, a major month-long event that attracts tourists from all over the world to boost the country’s tourism potential, are feverishly underway.
The Cultural Oneness Festival will be the first major event under the December to Remember calendar with special focus on the north as part of a grand plan by the Minister of Tourism, Dr Mohammed Ibrahim Awal, to spread the much acclaimed December festival across the country.
With about 700,000 thronging to Ghana last year, the ministry expects tourists arrivals to reach over a million this December.
Under the provisions of the MoU, Ethiopian Airlines and The Taste of Afrika have agreed to make the airline the official airline carrier of “Cultural Oneness Festival” to be held at Tamale from December 6 to December 9, 2023, where over 2,000 visitors are expected.
With this, Ethiopian Airlines will provide 10 per cent discount on both business and economy class fares for all participants departing from any Ethiopian online point to Accra, Ghana.
The airline will also be announced at the event as an official carrier for the event.
Chief Executive Officer of The Taste of Afrika, Tengol K. Kplemani, in a release, described the MoU as timely and one that would help attract more tourists into the country.
