Dumsor: GRIDCo blames intermittent power cuts on limited gas supply to Tema

The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has provided an explanation for the recent power cuts experienced in various regions of the country.
In a statement released by the company, it was revealed that the power interruptions were primarily due to a constrained supply of gas to the Tema power plant, resulting in a deficit of 550MW during peak hours.
This will affect power supply to consumers in some parts of the country. The inconvenience caused is deeply regretted,” the statement said.
This explanation follows concerns on various social media platforms over the intermittent power outages being experienced in parts of the country.
GRIDCo has however expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by these disruptions.
