CalBank PLC, listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange, has announced the appointment of Woelinam Yao Dogbe as a Non-Executive Director to its board, representing the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT). The appointment was approved by the Bank of Ghana on June 9, 2025.
Dogbe brings over 18 years of professional experience to the role, with a distinguished background as a banker, management consultant, and business executive. His extensive experience includes senior leadership positions at reputable financial institutions such as Standard Chartered Bank, Fidelity Bank Ghana, and Bayport S&L. He has also served on the boards of Agave Rural Bank PLC and Woezor Group Limited.
Dogbe’s professional profile is impressive, with over 18 years of experience in banking and management consulting. He had his secondary education at Achimota School and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Bradford, UK. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana, and an International Finance Corporation (IFC) certified Environmental and Social Risk Management Consultant.
Prior to his appointment, Dogbe served as the Chief Operating Officer of Woezor Group and Managing Consultant at Plankton Partners Limited, a company providing advisory services to businesses across various industries. His expertise and experience are expected to significantly to contribute to the growth and development of CalBank.
