Reflections on My One Week in Office- Prof. Kobby Mensah

It’s been exactly one week since Prof. Kobby Mensah accepted his appointment as the Acting CEO of the Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC).

In a post on his social media handles, Prof. Mensah reflected on his first week in office, highlighting his key actions and meetings.

According to Prof. Mensah, his first action was to thank President John Dramani Mahama for acknowledging his competence and finding him worthy to help the national cause. He also informed his university authorities, family, and friends about his new appointment.

Prof. Mensah met with his sector minister, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, to assure her of his commitment to her goals for the ministry. He also paid an informal visit to the outgoing CEO, Kwadwo Odame Antwi, who spent three hours with him discussing the operations of GTDC and priority areas.

During his first week, Prof. Mensah met with key stakeholders, including the outgoing and incoming CEOs of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA). He also held a formal meeting with the management and staff of GTDC, where the outgoing CEO officially handed over the reins to him.
