QNET officials led by their General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, Mr. Biram Fall, have reiterated that the company is neither a Ponzi scheme nor an investment scheme. QNET is an e-Commerce direct selling company, that provides customers around the world with unique and high quality products and services.
Direct selling is an agelong marketing approach that has been around for over 200 years and it’s very commonly practised in the United States and other parts of the world.
Direct Selling is a method of marketing and retailing goods and services directly to the consumers in their homes or in any other location away from permanent retail premises. Such type of sales is largely driven by word-of-mouth referrals. Products sold through direct selling companies have unique features and are exclusive to the company and are not available in malls or similar locations.
Mr. Fall said the company, which started in Hong Kong in 1998, now has a global presence with distributors spanning the Middle East, South and East Asia, Africa, Central Asia and Europe.
According to him, the company’s footprint since its establishment some 23 years ago has helped to develop micro-entrepreneurs in many emerging economies.
Mr. Fall said, as it is common with every company or business sector, there are some challenges with direct selling in general and QNET is not exempted from the general industry issues and challenges. He reiterated that QNET’s business module and the independent representatives that sell the company’s products, are guided by codes of conduct and ethical requirements.
Ms. Maxime Peti, Sub Saharan Africa regional Public Relations Manager of QNET said the company has stringent codes of ethics and continously trains its independent representatives or distributors so that they could continue to uphold the key pillars of the company’s philosophy enshrined in integrity, service and leadership.
QNET deals in a wide range of high quality products and services including watches and jewelry, health and personal care products, wellness products, among others and they are available on the company’s e-commerce platform www.qnet.net.
The company, according to her, engages in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects in 35 cities across the globe as well as humanitarian services, all aimed at putting smiles on the faces of the underprivileged in society.
Mr. Fall mentioned that his team would be visiting Cape Coast where one of QNET’s CSR projects activities is based. In Cape Coast, QNET is supporting the ANOPA project to enable young physically-challenged students participate in sporting activities like swimming and basketball.
In the past and in Ghana, QNET has supported the National Chief Imam’s educational Foundation and donated assorted items to the less privileged during Ramadan festivities in Accra, Kumasi and Tamale. QNET won the e-Commerce Company of the Year at the GHACEA organized by the Centre for CSR, West Africa in 2018.
