Headmaster of Kajebi-Asato SHS commends govt

The Headmaster of Kadjebi-Asato Senior Secondary School in the Oti region,  Rev. Daniel Semenhyia Lenwah, has commended the government for disinfecting SHSs in the country.

The disinfection exercise is good initiative by the government to protect lives especially the future leaders,” he observed.

He noted that the school has not recorded any Covid-19  and attributed this to the diligence of the school in managing the final year students who just completed.

We were very diligent in ensuring that no one attracted the virus when the final year students came for their exit exams,” proclaimed the Headmaster.

He assured that they school will implement the same measures when the second year students resume next month.

We have a good sick bay to take care of any situation that may arise,” he assured.

He, however, pleaded with the government to provide the school with a teacher’s  bungalow to provide accommodation for teachers who travel daily from far to the school.

With regard to PPEs, Rev. Lenwah said the school has enough to last the period for which the school will be opened for the students.

The Assistant Head Teacher of Kajebi District Assembly School Complex, Ruth Abena Amoah, on her part, assured parents that their wards will not contract Covid-19 while in the school since this is the second time the school is being disinfected to ward of any harmful virus.

She stated that the school is expecting about 228 pupils when school resumes. On this note, she pleaded with the government to provide them with text books, other teaching materials and furniture  to aid teaching and learning.

Zoomlion Ghana Limited is carrying out the exercise in partnership with the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Ghana Education Service and it forms part of the government’s measures to fight the coronavirus disease, and also safeguard Form Two students of both SHSs and basic who would be going back to school to complete the academic calendar.
