First National Bank develops eco-friendly facility

First National Bank has developed eco- friendly mortgage facilities to improve sustainability of the environment.

Speaking at virtual housing fair on Thursday, Head of Strategic Initiatives of Home loans, Edward Nyarko, said in his presentation that the bank has initiated green development and green mortgages facility to help clients improve on their homes.

If you have an existing property about five or six years old, we are happy to access you loans to be able to improve on your property. We are encouraging our clients to access our home improvement loan to be able to provide solar, change your lights fittings to LED, buy taps that water efficient,” he said.

The aim of this initiative is to help customers make their buildings environmentally friendly and contribute to the sustainability of the environment.

He also added that the strategic initiatives unit of the bank helps to develop ready properties on the market for client to take mortgages.

The First National Bank two day virtual housing fair was organised to connect various  developers to prospective buyers and help customers understand mortgage information.

The fair featured over 20 housing developers in across the country and speakers from various units of the home-loans department of the bank.

The developers include Bijou Homes, Devtraco Limited, Square Mile Homes, Appolonia City, TDC Company Limited among others.
