They believe by so doing, the various platforms would be alerted on the campaign and the need for one to take the preventive measures seriously and this intend, raise some discussions on the disease on those platforms.
Speaking to the Founder of Glorycare Healthline, Gloria Enyonam Pluto Bonsu, in her office in Sekondi – Takoradi, Tuesday April 7, 2020, she stated that, the main objective is to take advantage and power of the social media to boost awareness on coronavirus in Ghana and Africa.
She said fighting the disease is simple but the attitude of some Ghanaians could escalate the already recorded numbers.
The practicing nurse at the Holy Child Catholic Hospital at Fijai in Sekondi Takoradi believes, adhering to the measures and staying home are sure ways of becoming safe in these times.
Bonsu said, “We can fight the virus if we create enough awareness and stick to the basic preventive measures established. Remember, if you stay home and I stay home, Coronavirus will go home”.
Currently there are over 11,400 confirmed cases of coronavirus across Africa, with a number of countries imposing a range of prevention and containment measures against the spread of the pandemic including partial or complete lockdown.
