The ASA Savings and Loans Limited has organized a free health screening for its customers at Techiman Sabu-Zongo in the Bono East Region.
The free health screening formed part of the 2022 annual corporate social responsibility activities of the financial institution. It has been rolling out the exercise (free health screening) among other activities across the country, signifying its benevolence.
About 150 customers, mainly women who operate micro businesses benefited from the Techiman Sabu-Zongo outreach medical exercise. They were screened for conditions including malaria, blood pressure, sugar level, typhoid, and hepatitis.
The medical exercise was administered by personnel from Rafchik Hospital at Abesim near Sunyani. Those who needed medication were sorted out while others were advised to seek further treatment.
The Techiman Area Manager of ASA Savings and Loans, Seth Morgan Arhin, said the exercise was to help ensure a healthy lifestyle, promote growth and the wellbeing of its customers and the community as well.
We noticed that most of the people are always busy with their business activities, and they hardly get time to go for checkups. This is not the first as we have been doing it over the past years. ASA Savings and Loans will always continue to fulfil its corporate social responsibilities and always support the community,” he said.
In addition to the free health screening, “we also plan to donate to orphanage homes, community schools, and award scholarship to the needy in society.”
