Advancing Healthcare: Nestlé Ghana Ltd. and Roche’s Comprehensive Cancer Care Initiative

Nestlé Ghana and Roche have partnered to introduce an innovative cancer care program designed to improve access to comprehensive cancer care and support services for Nestlé employees in Ghana and dependent.

This collaboration marks a significant progress in the fight against cancer and highlights both organizations’ dedication to making a substantial impact on healthcare for the Nestlé families in Ghana.

Developed in conjunction with healthcare professionals and cancer specialists, the program aims to provide holistic care and support to address crucial aspects of their treatment journey. This includes access to advanced oncology treatments, personalized patient care, educational resources, and support for caregivers. In addition to enhancing cancer care services, the program will focus on education, early detection, diagnosis, and ongoing support for patients and their families.

During the launch event of the cancer care program in Accra, Georgios Badaro, the Managing Director of Nestlé Ghana Ltd, emphasized the company’s unwavering dedication to the health and well-being of its employees and their families.

He stated, “Today marks the beginning of our journey towards providing comprehensive care for non-communicable diseases, demonstrating our care and concern for one another during times of need.” He further expressed Nestlé’s commitment to supporting the program in all aspects, ensuring the protection of both employees and their loved ones.

Swiss Ambassador to Ghana, Excellency Simone Giger applauded Nestlé and Roche for a partnership that is focused on people and called on other companies to emulate this great initiative. “ I am excited that two Swiss companies go into such a beautiful partnership to provide cancer care for Nestlé employees in Ghana.

Antoinette Arkoh, the Human Resource Director of Nestlé Central & West Africa Region, shed light on the NesCare program, which specifically targets non-communicable diseases, including cancers.

She urged all leaders and staff members of Nestlé in Ghana to seize the opportunity provided by the program. Additionally, she encouraged them to actively educate, support, and engage with their teams, emphasizing the collective impact we can make in the lives of those affected by cancer, “no one should fight cancer alone” she said.

Dr. Kgothatso Motumi, Country Manager, Roche Ghana said, collaborations like this do not only strengthen the Ghanaian workforce but also helps make the patient experience more seamless and manageable.

The partnership between Nestlé Ghana and Roche reflects a shared vision to meet the growing need for comprehensive cancer care and support for employees and their families and to contribute to the advancement of cancer care in Ghana.
