Global social enterprise IGNITE has announced plans to expand its operations in Ghana and use the country as an important market in its broader growth strategy across Africa.
The announcement was made during a virtual webinar organised to introduce the company, its products and its business model to stakeholders, including the media.
Speaking during the webinar, IGNITE Chief Market Development Officer, Venu Johl, said the company was established with the objective of bringing together people committed to personal and business growth through mentorship, collaboration and continuous learning.
We want to help people globally. We want to reach as many people as possible in this industry. They prosper, we prosper. So it’s a win-win situation for us,” he said.
Johl, who is based in Dubai and has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, said IGNITE had attracted more than 700,000 brand affiliates within about five months of its launch.
He said the founders initially planned a more gradual expansion, with the intention of strengthening the company’s foundation in 2026 before going global in 2027.
However, he said the response following the company’s announcement significantly exceeded expectations.
The founders were thinking, maybe we will get about 10,000 or 20,000 people in a month. Let’s go slow for 2026, let’s get our foundation right, and then in 2027 we will go globally. But guess what? The day that they decided to announce IGNITE, it just went viral,” Johl said.
He said the company initially established its headquarters in Malaysia and began developing partnerships and participating in wellness exhibitions there as part of its expansion strategy.
Ghana office
Speaking about IGNITE’s operations in Ghana, IGNITE Global and Advisory and Board Member, Nathan Kwabena Adisi, popularly known as Bola Ray, said the company had officially launched in Ghana on August 7, 2026, and it was preparing a permanent Ghana office, which would serve as a hub for its operations and stakeholder engagement.
He said IGNITE had already begun engaging various stakeholders and institutions since establishing its presence in Ghana.
According to him, the company had engaged institutions including the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Trade, among others.
He said these engagements were intended to explain the company’s business model and ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
No investment scheme
Adisi stressed that IGNITE was a product distribution company and not an investment company.
IGNITE is a product distribution company. We do not offer investments, guaranteed returns or deposit schemes, nothing of such,” he said.
He said Ghana was an important market for the company because of its growing business community and entrepreneurial culture.
We see Ghana to be an important market in West Africa, with a growing business community, a great political atmosphere, and a strong entrepreneurial spirit,” he said.
Wellness products
During the webinar, Dr. Shafi Shaikh, Product Specialist, introduced Sanarey, one of the wellness brands within the IGNITE ecosystem.
He said Sanarey’s products were based on what the company calls Sanarey Fusion Technology (SFT), which he described as a system involving materials, geometry and frequencies.
Among the products presented were Activa, Simetra and BR9.
Dr. Shaikh said Activa was designed as a wellness product, while Simetra was a glass disc made with minerals and crystals that the company says is intended to energise drinking water.
He also presented the BR9 grounding mat, which he said could be used for relaxation, stretching and after physical activity.
He described the company’s technology as combining materials such as quartz, silver, copper and carbon with what he called a special frequency activation process.
AI-powered products
IGNITE also introduced technology-focused products as part of its expanding portfolio.
One of them, BrushO, was described as an AI-powered oral-care product that connects to a cloud platform to collect information relating to users’ brushing habits.
The company said the product was designed to combine oral care with smart technology.
Another product, Brainify, was presented as an AI-powered learning platform designed to help users acquire practical digital and artificial intelligence skills.
BrAInify’s Head of Development and Strategy John Healy said the platform was intended to help learners acquire skills that could be used in the changing digital economy.
BrAInify is all about education. It’s about empowering learners around the world to take control of their future by learning the skills they need to survive and thrive in this tremendously exciting world we live in,” he said.
He said thousands of users were already using the platform to develop and monetise new skills.
A promotional video shown during the webinar described Brainify as offering specialised courses, progress tracking and certification across what the company described as six future-ready skills.
IGNITE ecosystem
IGNITE said its overall objective was to create a community built around personal development, entrepreneurship, mentorship, collaboration and continuous learning.
Johl said the company’s rapid growth had changed its original expansion timetable and that it was now looking beyond its initial markets.
The plan of going slow and being conservative in 2026, getting our foundation right before we go global in 2027, just went out the window,” he said.
The company said its Ghana operations would focus on building its local presence while strengthening stakeholder engagement and expanding its product distribution network across Ghana and, eventually, other markets in sub-Saharan Africa.
