Nestlé Ghana is putting families and children at the centre of its latest consumer promotion, with educational scholarships, bicycles and an electric family car among the prizes available under the new “MILO Energy To Start” campaign.
The nationwide promotion, launched at Nestlé Ghana’s head office in Dzorwulu, Accra, is expected to reach more than 2 million consumers and families and offers prizes valued at more than GH₵5 million.
The campaign reflects MILO’s longstanding association with children, learning, activity and family life, according to Nestlé Ghana.
Launching the promotion, Category Manager for Beverages and Dairy, Nestlé MILO, Myron Otoo, said the initiative was inspired by the loyalty of Ghanaian consumers.
For generations, MILO has helped fuel Ghanaian families with energy to learn, play and take on each day like true champions,” Otoo said.
He described the promotion as one of the brand’s biggest consumer campaigns and said it was intended to give back to families that have supported MILO over the years.
The range of prizes has been designed to cover different aspects of family life. They include educational scholarships for children, bicycles, cash prizes, refrigerators, smart watches and an electric vehicle intended for family use.
We have educational scholarships to support our children, bicycles to give our active champions, an enviable EV family car to make school rides even more memorable, as well as cash prizes, refrigerators, smart watches and so much more,” Otoo said.
He said the campaign’s objective was straightforward: to reward consumer loyalty while creating memorable winning moments for families.
National Sales Manager of Nestlé Ghana, Jacob Odoi, said MILO’s deep roots in Ghanaian households had made the brand particularly significant to consumers.
He described MILO as a widely distributed brand that has become closely associated with what he called the “lifestyle of champions”.
Today we are here to celebrate the brand that is widely distributed, and the brand that is very dear to the hearts of Ghanaians,” Odoi said.
Consumers who want to participate do not need to make a separate purchase of a special product. They simply need to look for promotional codes inside specially marked 400g tins, 20g or 37g MILO packs.
The code can be entered by dialling 380*8# and following the prompts. Consumers with smartphones can also scan the QR code located on the back of the promotional pack.
To Nestlé Ghana, the initiative builds on MILO’s role as a source of nourishing energy for Ghanaian families, while giving consumers an opportunity to benefit directly from their continued loyalty to the brand.
