MTN Ghana has rewarded the first batch of winners under its MTN@30 anniversary promotion, as the telecommunications company celebrates three decades of connecting Ghanaians.
The promotion, which runs from June to August 2026, is expected to reward as many as 30,000 customers across the country with a range of prizes, including brand-new vehicles, cash and lifestyle rewards.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony in Accra on Thursday, the Chief Customer Experience Officer, Jemima Kotei-Walsh, said the anniversary was an opportunity for the company to recognise the loyalty of its customers and other stakeholders who had contributed to its growth over the past 30 years.
Thirty years of progress, powered by you, reflects our deep association with everyone who has been part of this journey. Our customers, partners, stakeholders and employees have shaped our growth and helped build this business,” she said.
According to her, MTN’s success over the past three decades belonged not only to the company but also to the more than 32 million Ghanaians who have made the network part of their daily lives.

She said the MTN@30 promotion was therefore designed as a gesture of appreciation to customers.
The more than 32 million Ghanaians who have made MTN part of their lives are at the heart of this celebration. So, we asked ourselves a very simple question: how do we say thank you in a way that truly reaches people? That question gave birth to the MTN@30 anniversary promotion,” she said.
The promotion allows customers to earn points through their regular activities on the network, including voice calls, data usage, mobile money transactions and bundle purchases.
Customers are grouped into three zones, with points and rankings reset every month to give participants fresh opportunities to win.
Kotei-Walsh stressed that customers do not need to undertake any special registration to participate.
There is no need for any special registration or extra steps. Customers simply go about their normal lives on the network they already trust,” she said.
She encouraged customers who have not yet won to continue using MTN services, noting that new winners would emerge each month until the final draw.
This is only the beginning of the campaign, and there is a real opportunity still ahead. Points, rankings and rewards refresh every month, which means new winners emerge every month right up to the final draw,” she added.
First three vehicle winners
The first three winners of brand-new vehicles under the promotion are Ceephas Kwadwo Mensah Daben from the Oti Region, representing Zone One; Moses Akowuah from the Western Region, representing Zone Two; and Aleeba Alenka from the Upper East Region, representing Zone Three.
Eric Puplumpo, Snr. Manager -Products, UX and Design at MTN, said six more vehicles remained to be won during the promotion “Today, we have given away three brand-new Land Cruiser Prado vehicles, and we still have six more to give away. There is still an opportunity for customers because the promo is reset every month.”
Beyond the vehicles, customers also stand the chance to win cash prizes of up to GH¢30,000, as well as various lifestyle rewards based on their level of spending and engagement with MTN services.

The company assured customers that the selection and validation process was credible, with internal controls and an independent auditing firm involved in the process.
The process undertaken to do this involves a rigorous validation process involving MTN Ghana’s internal controls as well as an independent auditing firm. So, it is credible and genuine,” the MTN representative said.
Vehicles equipped with advanced features
Representing Toyota Ghana, Eugene Adomako explained that the vehicles presented to the winners were brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado vehicles equipped with a range of modern features.
He mentioned features including a surround-view camera, cooling seat function, seven-seat capacity and push-start functionality.
The winners expressed excitement at receiving the vehicles, with MTN describing the ceremony as a reflection of the company’s commitment to rewarding customer loyalty.
As MTN marks 30 years of operations in Ghana, the company said the anniversary promotion forms part of its broader appreciation of customers for their trust and continued patronage.
Walsh reiterated the company’s commitment to its original vision of using technology to bring Ghanaians closer together.
Thank you for your trust. Thank you for 30 years of support and loyalty. To our winners, enjoy what you have won, and we look forward to seeing many more of you,” she said.
