Fifty-eight participants from various institutions, including the Armed Forces, Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, Private Newspapers and Online Associations of Ghana (PRINPAG), Office of the President, Ghana Ports and Habour Authority, Chamber of Petroleum, Bulk Oil, and National Development Planning Commission among others, have successfully completed a certificate course in Strategic Leadership at the National College of Defence Studies (NCDS) in collaboration with the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

The intensive training, held from May 26 to June 5, 2025, at Burma Camp, equipped participants with strategic leadership skills, emphasizing the importance of driving transformation and progress in their respective institutions. Renowned lecturers from the military and academia delivered insightful sessions, enriching the learning experience.

Participants learned the importance of embracing strategic leadership as a responsibility, inspiring innovation, and leading with purpose. The course focused on practical applications of strategic leadership, enabling participants to drive transformation and progress in their institutions.

The diverse group of participants fostered inter-institutional collaboration, promoting a culture of shared learning and best practices.

NCDS Commandant, Brigadier General Frederick Dankyi Ntiri, congratulated the participants on their achievement, urging them to apply their newfound insights to drive positive change.

Dr. Ernest Ofori Sarpong, Chief Executive Officer of Special Ice Company Limited, who was the Guest of Honour for the occasion, commended the participants on achieving the significant milestone of becoming strategic thinkers, highlighting the importance of such accomplishments in solving complex organizational challenges.
Following the award of certificates, Dr. Lutfia Saeed Jamal, Deputy Director General of NADMO and Course President, expressed profound gratitude to the Commandant and organizers on behalf of the participants. She thanked them for imparting valuable knowledge and insights that would benefit the participants in their respective roles.
Participants expressed profound gratitude for the course, suggesting it could be extended to the general public to promote strategic leadership nationwide.

The National College of Defence Studies, established in March 2023, aims to provide strategic-level courses for senior military officers and relevant national agencies. The college offers a range of programs, including the Certificate Course in Strategic Leadership and the Master of Arts Degree in Strategic Studies.
